Welcome. My name is Paul Tumarkin and I’ve been studying aikido since 1994. As of today, I hold the rank of first kyu, as I have for the past seven years.

I am an independent marketer and run my own business, Barking Shelby Communications.
I am a father of two wonderful girls, husband to an incredible wife. I also am dad to the best yellow lab on the planet, Shelby.
I play the guitar. I read. I run, swim and bike–as well as train in aikido–all as part of my personal development.
I ride a red 2000 Honda Helix scooter and wear a helmet with two screaming red panthers climbing up the back. (If you knew me, this might make you giggle.)
And, of course, I write.
